CATC has put their first DA40TDI's into operation for basic training and IFR
training. in the first half of 2008, CATC has got the delivery of three new DA40TDI
and two DA42. CATC has up-to-now seven Diamond aircraft in its fleet. In
2008 CATC is expecting the delivery of additional 5 new Diamond aircraft.
CATC one of the biggest flying schools in South East Asia, is in the process
to completely renew its fleet with G1000 Glass cockpit. Asian Aerospace
Services is supporting CATC maintenance organisation to become a service
Center for composite and aircraft Diesel engine. With the strong utilization
of Diamond aircaft the past 15 month, CATC could safe tremendous amount of
fuel and operating costs for the Thai government. Diamond aircraft within
the CATC fleet have flown ca 1000hour in the past 12 month whereas other new
aircraft type from different vendor did fly less than 50 hours due to high
operating costs.....
